• 2018 Waller Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Announcement:

Thank you to everyone that submitted an application for a scholarship from the Waller Area Chamber of Commerce. We received many outstanding applications and equally exceptional recommendations making the selection process very competitive. The process of narrowing down a large applicant pool is a challenging one, especially when it is composed of so many highly qualified candidates. Due to the large amount of applications and in an effort to be non-biased and show no favoritism, the WACC Board formed a committee of six to score each scholarship application. The Selection Committee was comprised of one non-local WACC Board Member, one City of Waller Official and four current or retired educators from outside the community. Each committee member was asked to judge items such as; letter of recommendation, essay ideas, essay organization and grammar, resume, application presentation and overall impression. The scores were all tallied and the top seven applications were awarded a scholarship.

To qualify for the Waller Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, the Senior, who plans to pursue higher education or technical studies, must be employed by a Chamber Member, child of a Chamber Member or their parent is employed by a Chamber Member.
